Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will lay the foundation stone on Sunday for the Greenfield Radial Road-1 project, a major infrastructure initiative aimed at improving regional connectivity and driving future growth around Hyderabad. The new corridor will connect Raviryal (Tata Interchange) on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) with Amangal (Ratan Tata Road) on the proposed Regional Ring Road (RRR), significantly reducing travel time to southern districts and boosting industrial development.
The 41.50 km road will be developed in two phases. Phase I will cover 19.20 km from Raviryal to Meerkhanpet, while Phase II will extend 22.30 km from Meerkhanpet to Amangal. The project will feature a 100-metre Right of Way (ROW) with a 3+3 lane carriageway, expandable to 4+4 lanes in the future. It will also include dedicated metro or rail corridors, greenbelts, cycle tracks, footpaths, and service roads, passing through 14 villages along its route.
The total project cost is estimated at Rs 4,621 crore, including land acquisition, with Rs 1,911 crore allocated for Phase I and Rs 2,710 crore for Phase II. Construction is expected to be completed within 30 months, and the road will also pass through reserved forest land and TGIIC industrial areas, with required approvals under process.
Once completed, the corridor will provide seamless connectivity to industrial hubs, logistics parks, IT zones, and future urban projects like Bharat Future City. It will also boost exports, employment, and industrial growth while advancing Telangana’s “Make in Telangana” mission.
