The NSS Units I & II of IIMC College, Lakdikapul, in collaboration with the Hyderabad District Arya Vysya Association, organized a relief effort for flood-affected tribal hamlets in Gundaram village in Kamareddy district on Saturday.
Following a detailed survey of submerged areas including Letha Mamidi Thanda, Nadimi Thanda, Ellapur Thanda, Doop Singh Thanda, and Rajampet, 100 flood-hit families were identified. Relief kits worth Rs 3 lakhs were distributed, each containing 15 essential commodities such as rice, toor dal, sugar, and semolina. Flagging off the supply-laden bus, IIMC Principal and NSS Chairman K Raghveer urged youth to think beyond self-interest and contribute to national service, especially in times of crisis.
The initiative saw active participation from NSS Program Officers E Ramakrishna and Satyanarayana, NCC Officer Vasant Kumar, 10 NSS volunteers, 14 NCC cadets, and faculty members Vijay, Pachimatla Kishan Goud, and Niranjan.
