Police arrested two dealers cum sellers of counterfeit currency notes and seized two lakhs of fake currency notes near Ramalayam in Sri Ram Nagar in First Lancer in the city in the limits of Mehdipatnam police station, Asif Nagar division and South West Zone. Accused identified as Ansari Aftab Azeemuddin (22), native of Aurangabad in Maharashtra, Adil Hussain (22), Student, resident of Langer house in Hyderabad. Akash, native of Aurangabad district in Maharashtra state, still absconding in this case.
Case has been registered at Mehdipatnam in Hyderabad and accused persons were sent to the judicial remand. Police have seized 400 fake notes of Rs 500 denominations (total of two lakhs), three mobile phones and one Honda Activa bearing number TS 13 EW 8739. Accused persons came to sell the fake currency notes to needy customers which is procured from Akash (absconding) and waiting near Ramalayam in first Lancer. Police have arrested them and enquired about them. The accused were intent to deal with the sale of fake currency Rs 30,000 for one lakh fake currency.
