BRS Working President KT Rama Rao strongly criticized the Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy-led Congress government, accusing it of failing Telangana on multiple fronts while resorting to political vendetta against former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. In a informal interaction with media, KTR highlighted the government's alleged distractions through SIT probes and investigations into KCR, describing the questioning as driven by "sadistic pleasure" rather than genuine accountability.
KTR specifically demanded that the State government release a White Paper on the investments promised during Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's Davos visits. He questioned the outcomes of announcements made in previous years, including claims of massive MoUs worth lakhs of crores, noting that little to no ground-level implementation or job creation has materialized for the people of Telangana. KTR sarcastically remarked on the futility of traveling abroad to sign agreements with local Hyderabad-based firms, urging transparency on how many such commitments have been realized and benefited the state.
He faulted Revanth Reddy's attitude toward KCR, describing it as reckless, disrespectful, and unbecoming of a Chief Minister. KTR emphasized KCR's monumental role as the architect of Telangana statehood and his contributions to development, contrasting it with the current regime's failures. He accused the government of undermining Telangana's interests in inter-state water disputes, central budget allocations, and key sectors like Singareni, while diverting attention through probes and personal attacks.
KTR listed several grievances: central budget discrimination against Telangana, neglect of state-specific schemes copied nationally without credit, law and order lapses including alleged scams in land and mining, and unfulfilled promises on jobs, welfare, and infrastructure. He criticized frequent Delhi trips yielding no tangible benefits and called for focus on public service instead of distractions.
Asserting that BRS will not remain silent amid harassment of its leader, KTR urged the government to address real issues like farmer distress, employment, and development rather than engaging in baseless allegations. He stressed that Telangana's progress under KCR's leadership set national benchmarks, and the current administration must prove its mettle through actions, not rhetoric.
