Bioinspired Frontiers 2025, a pioneering global conference exploring the intersections of biomimicry, space exploration, and sustainable economic development, was inaugurated on Wednesday in Hyderabad by Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Telangana.
The event convened leading scientists, innovators, policymakers, and entrepreneurs from around the world to examine how nature-inspired design and space research can drive sustainable solutions on Earth.
Welcoming participants, Vikramarka stated, ‘Hyderabad, a city known for its scientific legacy and imagination, is proud to host this global dialogue connecting biology, technology, and space. Telangana remains committed to fostering deep-tech innovation with strong policy support and infrastructure.’
Murtaza Abbas Qurasani, Founder & CEO of GEOPAQ, emphasized the importance of the event, saying, ‘This platform reinforces that sustainability and innovation go hand in hand. By drawing from nature and space, we can build regenerative and inclusive futures.’
Day one featured thought leaders including Irene Scheider (ISE - Radiation Experts), Joan Perera (JAN PERERA WORKS), Dr. Srimathy Kesan (Space Kidz India), Adriana Marais (Proudly Human), and Mohana Sai Akula (ICMR, Astronaut Candidate - Titans Space Industries 2029), sharing insights on transformative innovation.
Day 2 featured top experts like Abhinav Kshitij, Rania Toukebri, and Sweta Parmar sharing insights. Highlight: 13-year-old Iniya Pragati, analogue astronaut and author, selected for LEO mission in 2029, completed Arctic Martian mission, and will attend NASA training in 2026. She launched Water on Moon in 2024.
