Expedite mineral exploration: Bhatti

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has directed officials to expedite mineral exploration activities at the Devadurga Gold-Copper Block in Karnataka, secured by the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) through auction.

Bhatti Vikramarka visited the Hutti Gold Mines in Karnataka on Friday and inspected the gold ore extraction process from the mine viewpoint. He also enquired with officials about the depth at which gold ore is currently being extracted.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister said the Devadurga exploration block secured by SCCL is located close to the Hutti Gold Mines, describing its proximity as a major opportunity for leveraging the latter's expertise and experience.

He directed officials to utilise the technical expertise of Hutti Gold Mines for the Devadurga project and accelerate exploration by adopting advanced technologies to determine the quantity and quality of mineral deposits in the block.

Bhatti Vikramarka also directed officials to prepare advance plans for the next phase of activities so that work could be taken up immediately if the exploration yields encouraging results.

He instructed SCCL Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Budha Prakash Jyoti to make all necessary arrangements at the earliest for the inauguration of the Singareni site office proposed to be established at Devadurga.

SCCL Director (Planning and Projects) Venkateshwarlu, General Manager Pankaj Kuleshrestha, Raichur Zilla Parishad member Amjad, and senior officials of Hutti Gold Mines participated in the visit.
