Hyderabad District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan has urged all recognized political parties to extend full cooperation in finalizing the electoral roll for the forthcoming Jubilee Hills Assembly Constituency bye-election.

At a meeting held on Monday at the GHMC Head Office, Karnan reviewed the Special Summary Revision process with party representatives. He said that as per the Election Commission’s schedule, the integrated draft electoral rolls were published on September 2, 2025, covering 407 polling stations across 139 locations. Copies have been provided to political parties and made available on the CEO-TS and GHMC websites.

During the claims and objections period from September 2–17, parties were urged to appoint Booth Level Agents (BLAs) at every polling station to ensure accuracy. The Commissioner reminded that all citizens completing 18 years as on July 1, 2025, must register before September 17.

So far, 2,855 claims and objections have been filed through Form-6, 6A, 7 and 8, of which over 8.62% have already been addressed. Karnan stressed that cooperation of all parties is vital to ensure transparency, error-free rolls, and greater voter participation. The final list will be published on September 30, 2025.

The meeting was attended by LB Nagar Zonal Commissioner Hemant Keshav Patil, Secunderabad Cantonment Board Joint CEO Pallavi Vijaywanshi, and Additional Commissioner (Elections) Mangatayaru. Representatives from major political parties, including Congress, BJP, BRS, AIMIM, BSP, CPI(M), TDP, and AAP, also took part. Earlier, Karnan also discussed with parties the preparation of GIS-based Nazari Naksha for the constituency.
