GHMC assures swift action on 156 public complaints

GHMC officials assured residents that all complaints and requests received during Monday’s Prajavani programme would be promptly forwarded to the concerned departments for immediate action.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) received a total of 156 complaints and requests from residents across the city. At the GHMC head office, 66 complaints were submitted directly, while six zones contributed 90 complaints collectively. The distribution across zones was: Kukatpally – 29, Serilingampally – 28, LB Nagar – 15, Secunderabad – 10, Charminar – 6, and Khairatabad – 2.

Among the 66 complaints received at the head office, 38 were directed to Town Planning, 9 to Engineering, 4 to Revenue, 3 each to Administration and Vigilance, 2 to UBD, and 1 each to Transport, Estate, and Health departments. Additionally, 4 complaints were received via telephone.

The grievance day at GHMC headquarters was attended by Additional Commissioners Raghu Prasad, Venugopal, Satyanarayana, CCP Srinivas, Vigilance DSP Narsimha Reddy, Maintenance Chief Engineer Sahadev Ratnakar, Chief Veterinary Officer Abdul Wakeel, and Irrigation CE Nithyanand, among others.
