Government committed to welfare of poor, says Health Minister

State Medical and Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha said on Thursday that the government is committed to the welfare of the poor. He participated in the  distribution of new ration cards and Shaadi Mubarak and Kalyana Lakshmi cheques for Sangareddy constituency. Speaking on the occasion, he said that so far new ration cards have been distributed to 39,000 people in the district and assured that the allotment of Indiramma houses to the poor will also be expedited soon.

He handed over 113 cheques related to Kalyana Lakshmi and 123 cheques related to Shadi Mubarak beneficiaries. District collector P Pravinya said that 68,000 applications for ration cards have been received so far in the district, of which 39,000 have been granted new cards. Zaheerabad MP Suresh Shetkar, Medak MP Raghunandan Rao, Sangareddy MLA Chinta Prabhakar, Narayankhed MLA Sanjeeva Reddy and TGIIC Chairman Nirmala Jagga Reddy participated in this event.
