On 03-09-2025, South Central Railway organized the zonal-level ZRUCC (Zonal Railway Users’ Consultative Committee) meeting at Rail Bhavan, Secunderabad. From Nizamabad, member Raulapalli Jagadishwar Rao attended the meeting. General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava highlighted the importance of South Central Railway, its ongoing activities, and passenger facilities, while also seeking further suggestions from the members regarding additional services and amenities.

On behalf of Nizamabad, Jagadishwar Rao submitted a comprehensive memorandum with nine demands, which included:

• Provision of daytime train facility towards Secunderabad and Mumbai.

• Extension of the Vande Bharat, which currently runs up to Nanded, up to Nizamabad.

• Introduction of Vande Bharat service to Tirupati.

• Creation of a track link between Armoor and Dichpalli to avoid the railway bypass and to protect the landowners affected by land acquisition.

• Extension of Tapovan Express, High Court Express, Pune Express, Mumbai Express, Bengaluru Express, and Delhi-bound trains from Dharmabad and Nanded up to Nizamabad.

• Introduction of an additional train between Mumbai and Secunderabad to ease traffic.

• Relocation of the goods shed to another location.

• Upgradation of Nizamabad station with facilities such as lifts, CCTV cameras, scanning systems, passenger amenities, and security measures at the earliest.

Jagadishwar Rao stressed the need for these developments to ensure passenger safety and convenience. The General Manager positively received these requests and assured the ZRUCC that steps would be taken to resolve them. He further stated that once the ongoing doubling works and ROB (Road Over Bridge) construction from Mudkhed are completed, more trains and facilities would be available for Nizamabad. Jagadishwar Rao expressed that the meeting was conducted at a high level, positively, and in a spirit of cooperation.
