Former minister and BRS MLA T. Harish Rao on Friday criticized the State government, highlighting its shortcomings in competence, efficiency and integrity concerning the conduct of examinations and the protection of students’ future. In particular, Harish Rao referenced the recent incident involving a question paper leak at Prof. Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, illustrating a significant failure on the government's ability to ensure fair and secure examination processes.
The former minister called for prompt action against the officials implicated in these irregularities and urged the implementation of stringent measures to prevent further breaches and uphold the integrity of recruitment examinations. Harish Rao emphasized that the State had not yet recovered from the PG medical entrance exam scandal, and now faced another serious issue at the agricultural university, where BSc Agriculture question papers were disseminated via WhatsApp, causing considerable dismay among students throughout Telangana.
He expressed grave concern over the blatant occurrence of such malpractices, questioning the government's inaction despite its repeated commitments to transparency and reform. Furthermore, he asserted that educational institutions under the Congress regime have devolved into hubs of corruption, with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy consistently demonstrating that no aspect is beyond the reach of exploitation.
