Helmet awareness bike rally conducted for children

Mahabubabad: Mahabubabad district organized a bike rally to create awareness on road safety and compulsory helmet use for children as part of the Praja Palana Pragathi Plan programme. The event, held under the 99-day action plan, started from the MRO Office circle in Mahabubabad town and passed through the under bridge, railway station, bus stand and Narsampet road before returning to the MRO Office.

Officials stressed that parents must ensure children wear helmets while travelling on two-wheelers and follow traffic safety rules while going to school. The programme was conducted under the guidance of the District Education Department and Transport Department with support from the police, as per the instructions of District Collector and Magistrate Sneha Shabari.

District SP Dr. Shabari and his daughter, along with DSPs, transport officials, education staff and police personnel, participated in the rally with their children wearing helmets. The initiative aimed to promote road safety awareness among the public.
