The Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation (HKMCF) marked its 10th anniversary along with the milestone of serving 15 crore cumulative meals at its centralised kitchen in Narsingi, Hyderabad, in association with Aurobindo Pharma. The programme highlighted a decade of large-scale community feeding initiatives across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, aimed at supporting the needy and underprivileged. Senior representatives from government, industry and partner organisations attended the event.
Chief Guest Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, inaugurated newly installed modern kitchen equipment designed to improve efficiency and expand meal production capacity. He also flagged off food delivery vehicles and unveiled automated systems including a dosa-making machine and vessel sealing unit.
His Grace Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhuji, President of Hare Krishna Movement, said, “Inspired by Srila Prabhupada’s vision that no one within a 10-mile radius should go hungry, HKMCF has dedicated the last decade to serving nutritious meals to the needy. Reaching 15 crore meals has been possible only through the support of volunteers, donors and partners.”
Sri K. Nityananda Reddy, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Aurobindo Pharma Ltd, said, “Our partnership with HKMCF has enabled the establishment of multiple centralized kitchens and the delivery of millions of meals, including during the COVID-19 pandemic. We remain committed to continuing this humanitarian support.”
HKMCF currently serves around 71,000 meals daily through hospital feeding programmes, breakfast initiatives and market yard distribution systems, strengthening food security and community welfare across the region.
