Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee ( TPCC) chief Mahesh Kumar Goud criticised individuals protesting the installation of a statue of the esteemed late singer S.P. Balasubrahmanyam at Ravindra Bharathi. He emphasised that artists and writers should not be judged based on caste or religion.
In a media briefing at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday, Mahesh Kumar Goud expressed that politicising the issue of Balasubrahmanyam's statue by invoking caste and religion is inappropriate, given the pride the late singer brought to the nation through his music.
He also criticised the opposition parties for spreading false propaganda to divert attention from the two-year celebrations of People’s Government.
Mahesh Kumar Goud exuded confidence that the Congress government would return power again in Telangana in the next Assembly elections.
"Seeing the situation in the national capital of New Delhi due to air pollution is distressing. Delhi's situation should not come to Hyderabad. Efforts are being made to transform Hyderabad into a world city," he said. The Congress leader alleged that it was clear that BJP and BRS are one and the same and in the previous BRS government, there was rampant looting.
