Hyderabad: The Department of Civil Engineering at KG Reddy College of Engineering & Technology (KGRCET), Hyderabad, inaugurated its three-day national conference ‘Sustainable Water and Waste Solutions for Resilient Rural and Urban Communities (SWWS 2025)’ on Tuesday.
The conference was formally inaugurated by Dr. Rambabu Singh, In-charge of the Hydrogeology Division and Manager (Geology), CMPDIL, Nagpur. Distinguished dignitaries present included Dr. Rohit Kandakatla, Director of KGRCET, Dr. Sai Satyanarayana Reddy, Principal and Dr. M N Narsaiah, Vice Principal.
Delivering the keynote, Dr. Singh spoke on ‘Greywater Solutions for Sustainable Communities,’ stressing the importance of decentralized wastewater treatment in strengthening water security across India’s rural and urban landscapes.
The dignitaries also released a conference souvenir, marking the occasion. With participation from over 60 faculty members and scholars representing diverse institutions, SWWS 2025 is poised to become a platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and innovation in sustainable practices. The conference will continue until September 4, 2025, with sessions focusing on real-world challenges and climate-resilient water and waste solutions.
