KLH Global Business School hosts road safety awareness drive

KLH Global Business School organized an awareness workshop on road safety and drug prevention at Hyderabad on Wednesday, aiming to promote responsible driving habits and student awareness on critical safety issues.

Dr. M. Ramesh IPS, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, addressed students emphasizing valuing life and responsible road behaviour. He warned against mobile phone use while driving and highlighted Telangana Traffic Police initiatives to reduce accidents.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-I) J. Ranjan Ratan Kumar expressed concern over rising road accidents, noting that many victims are young. He advised fatigue breaks during long drives, regular vehicle maintenance, and strict adherence to traffic rules including seatbelt and helmet use.

The session was attended by senior traffic and transport officials, faculty members, and students, who discussed the broader impact of road accidents on families and society. KLH Dean Dr. Anand Bethapudi welcomed dignitaries and appreciated their efforts in sensitizing students on road safety, while Er. Koneru Lakshman Havish, Vice President of KL Deemed to be University, said education must extend beyond classrooms to build responsible citizens. The campaign forms part of the 'Arrive Alive' initiative from April 13 to 18 campaign.
