Deputy Mayor Marepalli Surender Reddy (MSR) said that government schemes are not just on paper but are aimed at bringing real change in people’s lives. He made these remarks during a Ward Sabha held in Mahabubnagar on Wednesday.
The meeting was conducted as part of the 99-day Public Governance Progress Plan after the formation of the Mahabubnagar Municipal Corporation. An Indiramma saree distribution programme was also held in the 2nd Division.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Mayor said the government is committed to fulfilling its promises through welfare schemes. He mentioned initiatives such as free bus travel, 200 units of free electricity, ration cards, fine rice distribution, Indiramma houses, and Aarogyasri services for eligible beneficiaries.
He urged people to actively participate in the 99-day action plan and support the development of the municipal corporation. After the programme, sarees were distributed to women beneficiaries. The event was attended by Municipal Assistant Commissioner Rajanna, DMC Lakshmi, Congress leaders, ward officials, government staff, party workers, women participants, and local residents.
