Medicover Woman & Child Hospitals has launched specialized Pediatric Dental Services, aiming to enhance early oral healthcare for children and address the growing concern of early childhood caries (ECC). This new initiative emphasizes preventive care and lifelong dental health, starting from infancy.

The unit offers a wide range of services, including early check-ups, cavity management, and parental education on oral hygiene and feeding practices. A key feature is its focus on maternal dental care during pregnancy, recognizing that untreated dental issues in mothers can increase cavity risks in newborns. Medicover’s integrated teams in gynecology, pediatrics, and dentistry will ensure holistic care for both mothers and children.

At the launch, Dr. Sharath Reddy, Executive Director of Medicover Hospitals India, emphasized the role of early dental care in long-term health. ‘This initiative protects children’s smiles and promotes overall wellbeing,’ he said.
