Medicover Cancer Institute, Hitec City, launched a Complimentary Cancer Screening Coupon on Monday to promote early cancer detection and encourage preventive health check-ups. The announcement was made during a Cancer Survivors Felicitation Ceremony, where survivors were honoured for their courage and resilience.

Actor and writer Tanikella Bharani unveiled the coupon as the chief guest. Film director Siva Nageswara Rao, actors Ram Prasad and Raja Vannem Reddy attended the programme as guests of honour. Cancer survivors were felicitated with shawls and mementoes in recognition of their inspiring journey.

The coupon enables eligible individuals to avail free cancer screening tests, consultations with expert oncologists and a 50 per cent discount on 4D PET-CT scans, helping facilitate early diagnosis and timely treatment.

Speaking on the occasion, Tanikella Bharani said cancer is not the end of life and can be overcome with timely treatment, confidence and family support. He urged people to undergo regular screening, saying early detection significantly improves recovery.

Senior Consultant Surgical Oncologist Dr Ravichander said cancers detected in the initial stages have a higher chance of successful treatment through surgery. Medical Oncologist Dr Venugopal said advances in cancer care have improved treatment outcomes and patients' quality of life.

Doctors at Medicover appealed to the public not to ignore unusual symptoms and to undergo regular cancer screening, stressing that early diagnosis remains the key to saving lives and improving treatment success.
