Agriculture Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu said on Friday that the state government would take steps to make seeds available to farmers cultivating chickpea crop at subsidized rates during the Rabi season. Minister Atchannaidu assured the farmers that there was no need to worry. He made it clear that the government is committed to the welfare and upliftment of farmers.
The Minister said that every farmer’s needs are being identified and efforts are being made to ensure that he gets the required seeds on time. He also clarified that the Agriculture Department is already making a district-wise assessment to provide quality seeds to the farmers and instructions have been issued to the officials to ensure that seeds are available to meet the needs of every farmer.
"Every grain grown by the hard work of the farmer strengthens the state's economy.’ He stated. He also mentioned that CM Chandrababu Naidu has given special directions with the intention of making agriculture profitable by using new ideas and technology for the farmers.
