National Lok Adalat receives good response, over 3000 cases settled

The National Lok Adalat conducted across the district on Saturday received a good response, with more than 3,000 cases being resolved through amicable settlements. Speaking on the occasion, District Additional Judge and Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Justice Lal Singh Srinivasa Naik said that nine Lok Adalat benches were established across the district to facilitate the resolution of pending disputes. He emphasized the importance of settlement through mutual consent, urging litigants from both sides to free themselves from prolonged legal battles through compromise.

Providing details of the settlements, Justice Naik said that among the nine benches, 20 civil suits, over 3,000 criminal cases and several other matters were successfully resolved. In 13 cybercrime cases, settlements amounting to Rs. 1.30 lakh were recorded. Additionally, 38 bank pre-litigation cases involving Rs. 20,81,779 were settled, along with various other disputes, he informed.
