Andhra Pradesh Housing and Information & Public Relations Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy launched a sharp attack on YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, accusing him of spreading misinformation about the state government’s Mega DSC recruitment to divert attention from alleged irregularities during the previous YSRCP regime. Addressing a press conference at the TDP central office in Mangalagiri on Saturday, Parthasarathy challenged YSRCP leaders to participate in an open debate on the report submitted by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by the High Court into alleged irregularities in the previous government’s APPSC Group-1 recruitment process.

The minister alleged that, during the YSRCP government, Group-1 answer scripts were allegedly moved from designated strong rooms to a private resort and evaluated improperly. He claimed the SIT report had exposed serious irregularities, including the alleged involvement of people with no appropriate examination-evaluation credentials. Parthasarathy further alleged that white correction fluid was extensively used on answer scripts and duplicate OMR sheets were created, affecting the prospects of candidates.

Citing a CFSL forensic report, he claimed that serious discrepancies were detected in the papers of a large majority of the selected candidates and that signatures of examiners did not match in several answer scripts.
