Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated a trade show at Marwadi University in Rajkot ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC). Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Deputy CM Harsh Sanghavi accompanied him at the event.

Officials said the trade show is expected to witness the signing of over 1,500 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), with participation from more than 110 international buyers from 16 countries, including the USA and several European nations. Over 1,800 business meetings are scheduled during the Reverse Buyer Seller Meet (RBSM) as part of the conference.

The exhibition spans 26,000 square metres and features leading corporations such as Torrent Power Limited, KOSOL, Adani Green, Essar Group, Nayara Energy, and Jyoti CNC. More than 400 exhibitors representing diverse sectors—including agro and food processing, fisheries, defence, energy, petrochemicals, engineering, and ports and logistics—have set up stalls at the trade show.

An official release highlighted that the meet will see participation from 110 international buyers across sectors such as engineering, agriculture, and textiles. Additionally, 20 national buyers will be part of the event, creating opportunities for collaboration and business growth. Officials described the trade show as a platform to foster domestic and international partnerships, enhance trade, and showcase India’s industrial and technological capabilities. The event serves as a key precursor to the main Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference, which aims to strengthen regional development, investment, and business networking across Gujarat and beyond.
