RajKummar Rao begins Dada shoot

The biopic of former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly has been making headlines for the past few years. Earlier reports had suggested that Ranbir Kapoor would play the lead role. However, the film has now gone on floors with RajKummar Rao set to portray Ganguly.

Rao took to Instagram to share the update and also revealed the title of the biopic. He wrote, “And it begins … The one and only #DADA (sic).”

Titled Dada, the film is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and produced by Luv Ranjan under his banner Luv Films. This marks Rao and Motwane’s second collaboration after their 2017 film Trapped, which emerged as a sleeper hit at the box office.
