Presented by filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga and produced under Bhadrakali Pictures, Romanchakam stars Sumanth Prabhas and Anantika Sanilkumar. Produced by Pranay Reddy Vanga and directed by debutant Venugopal Reddy, the youthful entertainer blends love, comedy and thrills and releases worldwide on September 3. Asian Cinemas is releasing it across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka.
Chief guest Vijay Deverakonda recalled his close bond with Sandeep and the risks they took during Arjun Reddy without money, fame or audience support. He praised Pranay and their family’s faith and said he would always support Sandeep. Vijay also praised Sumanth Prabhas’ passion for cinema.
Several members of the film industry wished Romanchakam a major success, praising Bhadrakali Pictures and Sandeep and Pranay for supporting new talent. Actors Kamal, Satish and Mani expressed confidence in the film, with Satish calling it an entertainer for youngsters and families. Choreographer Govind Master described it as a valuable opportunity, having choreographed three songs.
Meher Ramesh praised the makers’ commitment to encouraging newcomers, while Anantika Sanilkumar called the September 3 release a wholesome entertainer. Lyricist Chandrabose highlighted its meaningful songs and dialogues. Director Souryuv praised Sumanth Prabhas’ talent and Venugopal’s confidence, hoping the film brings recognition to the entire team.
Director Venugopal Reddy said his journey with Sandeep Reddy Vanga began after Kabir Singh and praised the freedom and trust extended to him by Sandeep and producer Pranay Reddy Vanga.
“Sandeep Anna told me just one thing: ‘This is your film, this is your vision. Just do it,’” Venugopal said. He added that his story explores the uncertainty youngsters face after leaving college, contrasting it with the confidence they enjoy during their student years.
Venugopal said he focused on fresh writing and performances rather than cinematic embellishments. After watching a scene from Mem Famous, he decided to cast Sumanth Prabhas. “The way filmmakers looked at Vijay Anna after Arjun Reddy, they will look at Sumanth after this film,” he said. Venugopal praised Anantika Sanilkumar and said nearly 99 per cent of the technical team comprised newcomers. Hero Sumanth Prabhas recalled the impact of Arjun Reddy and Pelli Choopulu, saying the films inspired youngsters like him to pursue cinema. He thanked Vijay Deverakonda for supporting Mem Famous and said working under the Bhadrakali Pictures banner was a dream opportunity.
Producer Pranay Reddy Vanga said Sumanth’s real-life personality closely matched his character in the film, while Anantika delivered an impressive performance. He praised the ensemble cast, including Narendra, Ravi, Venkatesh and Mani, and said several newcomers worked passionately, believing in Venugopal’s vision.
Pranay also commended music director Vasuki and cinematographer Pawan, describing Venugopal as a producer-friendly director who completed the film within budget. He said Romanchakam had shaped up well and urged audiences to watch the clean, family-friendly entertainer on September 3. Sandeep Reddy Vanga said he was impressed by Venugopal’s narration but wanted proof that he could translate it effectively to the screen. After watching a six-minute scene directed by Venugopal, Sandeep said he felt it was executed even better than it was written and handed over complete responsibility to him.
He praised Sumanth for his natural performance, Anantika and the supporting cast, while expressing confidence in Vasuki’s music. Sandeep said the film’s premieres would begin on September 2, with its worldwide release on September 3. Calling the release day a dream-come-true moment for Venugopal, Sandeep wished him an unforgettable milestone.
