Homemade kitchen “SaddiMoota – Home Food Delivered” was launched on Saturday at Ayyappa Society, Madhapur, marking the arrival of an authentic kitchen dedicated to reviving Telangana’s traditional culinary heritage. The launch event was graced by film actress Divi Vadthya as the Chief Guest and Arekapudi Gandhi, MLA, Serilingampally, as the Guest of Honour.
Founded by Sridhar Reddy Velmajala, SaddiMoota is inspired by the age-old village tradition where farmers and travelers carried home prepared food tied in a cloth bundle—moota. Speaking at the launch, founder Sridhar Reddy Velmajala described SaddiMoota as a “ humble attempt to bring back the food we all grew up with” .
He expressed his desire to create a space where families can enjoy traditional Telangana flavours that remind them of their childhood and village life. Chief Guest Actress Divi Vadthya shared her delight on launching the kitchen, stating that every item was delicious and reminded her of mother’s cooking. Guest of Honor, Arekapudi Gandhi, MLA, Serilingampally, congratulated the founder and highlighted the importance of traditional food habits.
SaddiMoota aims to serve as more than just a restaurant—it is a heartfelt journey into Telangana’s village life, offering freshly prepared meals that celebrate tradition, health and emotional connection to food.
