Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Wednesday called upon industries and entrepreneurs to partner with the State government in strengthening the State’s skilling ecosystem and building a future-ready workforce. Speaking at a certificate distribution program organized by Boeing, Learning Links Foundation (LLF) and the Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD) at a hotel, Banjara Hills, the Minister said the government was working to equip Telangana’s youth with skills aligned with changing industry requirements and emerging technologies.
Sridhar Babu distributed certificates to youth, persons with disabilities and veterans who successfully completed the Boeing Skilling Program. He said rapid advances in technology and artificial intelligence were constantly changing the skills required by industry. “Preparing young people for these changes requires close coordination among the government, industry, research institutions and educational institutions,” Sridhar Babu said.
The Minister said the State was strengthening its skilling ecosystem with a focus on bridging the gap between industry and educational institutions. The Young India Skills University was providing training aligned with industry needs, while government ITIs were being transformed into Advanced Technology Centres to offer modern, industry-oriented training, he said.
