Gadwal District Collector Rizwan Basha Shaikh has called for coordinated efforts by committee members and medical officials to resolve issues and provide better healthcare services at the Government General Hospital in Gadwal. He was speaking at the Hospital Development Committee meeting held on Wednesday at the Collectorate conference hall. Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishnamohan Reddy also participated and stressed the need to improve facilities.
The meeting discussed filling vacant posts of doctors and staff as per rules and sending proposals for required equipment and infrastructure in different departments. Officials were instructed to use hospital funds in a priority-based manner and address parking issues near the hospital.
Plans were also discussed to construct an Urban Shelter Home under MEPMA using already sanctioned funds of over one crore rupees. Arrangements for the upcoming Divyang certificate camp were reviewed to avoid inconvenience to beneficiaries. The committee also explored shifting AYUSH hospital services to unused rooms in the old District Medical Officer office at Gandhi Chowk. Officials including DMHO Sandhya Kiranmayi, hospital superintendent Indira, and others attended the meeting there.
