TeluguOne turns 26

The noted Telugu infotainment and news portal “TeluguOne” completed 26 years and entered into its 27th year on Saturday, the 9 of May 2026. It was founded in the year 2000 by Kantamneni Ravi Shankar. It was established initially as  Atlanta-based Telugu entertainment portal, later expanding into a major digital media platform with its headquarters in Hyderabad. Ravi Shankar serves as the Managing Director of TeluguOne. 

Expanded significantly over the years: Launched TORi (TeluguOne Radio) in 2006 (one of the early internet radio services for Telugu), YouTube channels (now a major platform for Telugu content), short films, web originals, and strong movie/news coverage. Speaking on this occasion, Managing Director Kantamneni Ravi described it not just as an anniversary but as  a “journey, a dream and an emotion which brought together crores of people”. 

He recalled that TeluguOne was started 26 years ago to give a global platform to various aspects related to Telugu speaking people. He also mentioned that Teluguone today is a result of the efforts of several creators, writers, artistes and singers. On this occasion he thanked the employees, advertisers and all those who stood by TeluguOne in this journey.

As per the date given by YouTube statistics tracker “global blade”, As on date, TeluguOne has 12.23 million subscribers and more than thousand crore cumulative views compared to some of its nearest competitors which have subscribers in the range of 5-8 millions and cumulative views in the range of 300-500 crores. Teluguone has a global rank of 1837, subscribers rank of 414 and SB grade of B+.
