The Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) is set to strengthen its interface with industry, with CMD Jitesh V. Patil proposing a dedicated Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) mechanism for industrial consumers. The proposal emerged at the fifth stakeholders’ meeting organized by the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) at Federation House on August 20. A dedicated email ID for industrial consumers is also proposed.

Frequent outages at IDA Mallapur, Keesara, Balangar, Shadnagar and Toopran were raised, prompting TGSPDCL to direct Superintending Engineers to take corrective action. Hyderabad Precision Manufacturing Co. Pvt. Ltd. was offered a second supply source, subject to applicable charges, while grid maps will be shared with FTCCI. PM-KUSUM concerns included grid constraints, generation compensation and the 19% annual CUF requirement.

FTCCI raised concerns over ABT meter “Lead Unblock” settings, auxiliary consumption limits and GST registration requirements, prompting TGSPDCL to review new and existing meters and the waiver request.  The meeting was attended by FTCCI Vice-President Vinod Kumar Agarwal, Energy Committee Chair Sushil Kumar Sancheti, committee members, TGSPDCL officials, TGOADA representatives and solar developers.
