In a joint operation, the Chilkalguda Police and the Commissioner’s Task Force (East Zone) arrested two drug peddlers and seven drug consumers in Seethafalmandi. The authorities seized 100 grams of MDMA, 10 mobile phones, and a digital weighing machine items valued at approximately Rs 15 lakh.

The arrested peddlers have been identified as M Ramakanth (44), a native of Kurnool, and Mudavath Prasad (30), from Achampet. Acting on credible intelligence, the police raided the flat of the prime accused and took both individuals into custody. Further investigation led to the arrest of seven individuals found to be consumers of the narcotics.

According to police reports, all accused individuals were allegedly involved in drug-fueled bisexual activities. Some of the arrested individuals are reported to be HIV positive, raising serious public health concerns. Authorities continue to investigate the network and the extent of distribution linked to the accused.
