The Cyberabad Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) intensified enforcement and preventive measures during a week-long special drive, conducting night raids that resulted in the apprehension of six sex workers and eleven transgender persons. During the operations, six victims were rescued and two accused were apprehended in connection with two cases registered under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act (PITA).
As part of efforts to curb public nuisance and ensure women’s safety, the Cyberabad SHE Teams conducted 137 decoy operations across various public places. These operations led to the catching of 66 persons red-handed while indulging in indecent acts. Petty cases were booked in 59 instances, while the remaining individuals were counselled on appropriate behaviour and legal consequences.

In addition, focused efforts were made to resolve domestic and marital disputes. Through Family Counselling Centres and CDEW Centres, 22 families were successfully reunited following counselling and mediation between spouses and family members.
Alongside enforcement, the AHTU and SHE Teams placed strong emphasis on prevention and awareness. Awareness programmes were conducted at multiple locations across Cyberabad, reaching a total of 7,229 participants. The sessions covered a wide range of issues including human and child trafficking, eve teasing, social media harassment, child marriages, child rights, child labour, stalking, begging, cyberbullying, and cyber frauds. Information was also disseminated on emergency and support services such as Women Helpline 181, Child Helpline 1098, Dial 100, and Cyber Crime Helpline 1930.
