WV Connect 2026, Asia’s largest B2B wedding summit, opens

The worlds of cinema and luxury weddings came together in Hyderabad on Wednesday as WV Connect 2026, Asia’s largest B2B wedding summit, opened its fourth edition with the theme “Weddings & Films”. The summit was inaugurated by Kumar Raja of Design by Raja, WV Connect President Rituraj Khanna, four-time National Award-winning production designer Sabu Cyril, Wizcraft Group co-founder Sabbas Joseph and Wedding Vows and WV Connect founder Dakshina Moorthi N Naidu.

Delivering the keynote, Joseph described Hyderabad as the “new capital of cinema”, pointing to the city’s creative talent, Ramoji Film City and the international attention surrounding Telugu cinema. “Today, Hollywood is looking at Telugu cinema,” Joseph said, adding that the relationship between films and weddings had existed in practice long before the two industries began discussing it formally.

Sabu Cyril, whose production-design credits include Baahubali and RRR, spoke about the role of technology, engineering and imagination in his career. Dakshina Moorthi N Naidu said that WV Connect was intended to move beyond similarities and create a structured business platform where the two industries could collaborate.
