Yashoda Hospitals–Hitec city hosts “Kidney Symposium 2026”

With the objective of highlighting advances in kidney transplantation and creating awareness about organ donation, Yashoda Hospitals, HITEC City, organized “Kidney Symposium 2026.” The program was patronized by Yashoda Hospitals Chairman G. Ravinder Rao and Managing Director Dr. G. Surender Rao. Union Minister of Coal & Mines G. Kishan Reddy participated as the Chief Guest, while NITI Aayog Member Dr. R. Balasubrahmanyam attended as the Guest of Honour.

Union Minister Kishan Reddy mentioned that Yashoda Hospitals, HITEC City, successfully performing more than 400 kidney transplant surgeries and achieved good outcomes even in complex cases which is truly appreciable. “I hope that awareness about prevention of kidney diseases, timely treatment, organ donation, and post-transplant care will continue to increase,” he said.

Yashoda Hospitals Managing Director, Dr. G. Surender Rao said that achieving good outcomes in complex cases, including ABO-incompatible kidney transplantation and successful kidney donations from elderly living donors is a testament to the commitment of the hospital. Dr. Rajasekhara Chakravarthy, Clinical Director, Department of Nephrology, Yashoda Hospitals– Hitec City explained that kidney transplantation is not a process that ends with the surgery alone. Even after transplantation, it is extremely important for patients to remain under regular medical supervision, take prescribed medications as advised, and follow a healthy lifestyle,” he stated.
