The Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy issued a strong warning against the misuse of social media to target and abuse children, declaring a policy of zero tolerance for such crimes. He emphasized that those misusing online platforms to harm children will be dealt with strictly and without mercy.
The Chief Minister addressed the inaugural session of the State Level Stakeholders’ Consultation Meet-2025 on POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) at the MCRHRD Institute, Hyderabad, held on Saturday.
Themed "Voice for the Voiceless," the event focused on the need to create a safe and compassionate system for child survivors of sexual abuse. The conference was attended by Justice Surya Kant, Judge, Supreme Court of India and Executive Chairman of the National Legal Services Authority (NLSA); Justice Sujoy Paul, Acting Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court and Patron-in-Chief of the State Legal Services Authority (SLSA); along with senior members of the judiciary, police officials, Women & Child Welfare Department representatives, UNICEF members, civil society, and legal experts.

Highlighting the government’s unwavering commitment to child safety, Chief Minister stated, “Justice must extend beyond courtrooms—children must receive support at every stage, from police stations to child welfare centers. It is not just about convictions, but about restoration, dignity, and helping children reclaim their childhood.”
