Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday said the Integrated Master Plan for Amaravati should create an inclusive capital where people from all parts of Andhra Pradesh can live and work together. He said Amaravati is being developed as a world-class city that will drive the State's economic growth.
Reviewing the Amaravati 2.0 Integrated Master Plan and Land Pooling Scheme (LPS-2) with senior officials and representatives from Singapore, the Chief Minister stressed the need to strengthen the capital's economy and generate large-scale employment. The Singapore team presented the project scope, implementation strategy, infrastructure plan and investment model.
Mr. Naidu said Amaravati would feature well-planned Inner and Outer Ring Roads and highlighted that the Pattiseema Lift Irrigation Scheme had ensured water security for the capital region by transferring Godavari waters to the Krishna River despite El Niño conditions.
He said Amaravati should evolve into a creative, innovation-driven city with a strong economic base, aiming for global standards and one of the highest per capita income levels. He also emphasised sustainable development through green energy and eco-friendly building practices. Minister P. Narayana, senior government officials and representatives from Singapore attended the review meeting.
