Ambedkar Jayanti celebrated in Masjid Banda

The 135th birth anniversary of Dr B.R. Ambedkar was celebrated with grandeur at Masjid Banda village in Serilingampally on Tuesday. Congress senior leader Maraboina Anil Kumar Yadav paid floral tributes to Ambedkar’s statue and offered respects. Speaking on the occasion, he said Ambedkar was a visionary who illuminated the lives of oppressed and marginalized communities and upheld the values of equality, liberty and fraternity.

He added that Ambedkar’s contribution to drafting the Constitution laid the foundation of India’s democratic system. Yadav further noted that under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the classification process has been expedited and the Congress government has passed a 42% reservation bill in the Assembly. Police officials, including DSP Venkateshwarlu, traffic inspector Pradeep, and SI Venkateshwarlu, along with party leaders and local representatives, participated in the programme and paid tributes.
