BRS Working President and MLA KT Rama Rao today alleged that both the BJP at the Centre and the Congress in Telangana were indulging in political vendetta against BRS chief and former CM K. Chandrashekar Rao. If KCR builds the world's largest Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project to provide water for agriculture and industries, and for drinking water purpose, now the ruling parties are trying to file CBI cases against him,” he alleged and termed the CBI inquiry as a political conspiracy.
Addressing a gathering at the joining of Congress leader U Prabhakar Rao and his associates from Khammam district into BRS, Rama Rao said that 'overconfidence' had cost the party in the 2023 Assembly elections and the BRS had failed to highlight the developmental works done under KCR’s leadership. Citing irrigation and agriculture growth, he praised the Kaleshwaram project as a lifeline for Telangana.
Meanwhile, former minister Jagadish Reddy also accused the Congress government of hatching a conspiracy against KCR. He said the people have lost faith in CM Revanth Reddy’s leadership and predicted the downfall of the Congress beginning with local body elections. He expressed confidence that BRS would return to power and KCR would become Chief Minister again.
