Ministers Sridhar Babu, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, and Thummala Nageswara Rao participated.
The CM directed all departments to be on high alert, cancelling leave for all staff to ensure 24x7 readiness. Emphasising inter-departmental coordination, he instructed continuous monitoring of low-lying areas, early warnings to residents, and timely evacuations. Control rooms must report all incidents immediately. FM radios should be used for public alerts, and GHMC must monitor drainage systems to prevent flooding.
The Electricity Department must stay vigilant, with mobile transformers and generators on standby. Law & Order police should assist traffic management in Hyderabad, especially within the ORR. Citizens should avoid unnecessary travel, and IT staff should work from home.
The CM instructed that NDRF and SDRF teams stay on standby and helicopters be arranged for possible airlifts. HYDRAA teams must operate round-the-clock. Holidays may be declared for educational institutions depending on conditions.
The Information and Public Relations Department must ensure accurate updates to prevent panic. Recalling the 42 cm rainfall in Khammam in two hours, the CM said preparedness for cloudbursts is essential.
Citizens in flood-prone areas must stay indoors and avoid waterlogged zones. Police should restrict movement in such areas. Emergency toll-free numbers should be activated in all districts to handle complaints and coordinate relief. The CM stressed that the next 72 hours are crucial.
