Emphasizing that the development of Future City requires collective participation, Revanth Reddy stated that villages seeking inclusion within the commissionerate limits should pass resolutions through Gram Sabhas, after which the government would consider their integration.
The Chief Minister was speaking after laying the foundation stone for the “Future City Police Commissionerate” at Meer Khanpet in Ranga Reddy district. The project is part of a broader push to strengthen policing infrastructure and support the rapid urban expansion envisioned under the Future City initiative.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Malkajgiri Commissionerate building, the OCTOPUS Administrative Block, and the Qutbullapur DCP office. He also laid the foundation stone for the Gachibowli Traffic Police Station building, underscoring the government’s commitment to modernizing law enforcement facilities.
Reiterating the state’s ambitious vision, the Chief Minister said that Future City would be developed on par with leading global cities such as Singapore, Tokyo, and New York City. He announced that the Future City Development Corporation office would be inaugurated by June 2 and would function as a central hub for monitoring progress and attracting investments.
Highlighting Telangana’s infrastructure achievements, he pointed to the 160.5 km Outer Ring Road as a landmark development and assured that farmers affected by ongoing projects would be fully supported. He emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring that no stakeholder suffers losses due to development.
Calling for cooperation from all sections of society, the Chief Minister said that with collective effort, the region could emerge as a world class investment destination attracting global participation.
As part of the “Giri Darshak” initiative, appointment letters were distributed to 20 tribal youth to promote tourism and provide sustainable livelihoods. The trained guides will assist tourists, showcase local culture and history, and ensure adherence to forest regulations and visitor safety.
The Chief Minister once again appealed to Maoists to join the mainstream, assuring them of government support for rehabilitation and welfare.
