CS administers oath to newly appointed RTI Commissioners

Chief Secretary to the Government of Andhra Pradesh, K. Vijayanand, on Tuesday administered the oath of office to the newly appointed Commissioners of the Andhra Pradesh State Information Commission.

The oath-taking ceremony was held at the AP Secretariat in Amaravati. The appointments were made recently by the State Government, including the Chief Information Commissioner and other Information Commissioners. Acting on the orders of the Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Justice S. Abdul Nazeer, Chief Secretary Vijayanand formally administered the oaths to the newly appointed members. He first administered the oath to Vajja Srinivasa Rao, who has been appointed as the Chief Information Commissioner of the State Information Commission.

Subsequently, Paravada Simhachalam Naidu, Vanteru Ravibabu, Adenna Gajula, and Charat Chandra Kalyan Chakravarthy Vattikuti took oath as Information Commissioners. On the occasion, the Chief Secretary presented bouquets to the newly inducted Commissioners and conveyed his congratulations on behalf of the State Government, wishing them success in discharging their responsibilities in strengthening transparency and accountability in governance. The ceremony was attended by Special Chief Secretary of the State Services Department S. S. Rawat, AP Secretariat Employees Association President Ramakrishna, RTI officials, family members of the newly appointed Commissioners, well-wishers, and other dignitaries.
