Cylcothon held at Rashtrapathi Nilayam

Rashtrapati Nilayam in Bolarum organized a Cyclothon, continuing the success of the previous editions held in 2024 and 2025. The event was conducted in collaboration with the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) and various cycling groups from Hyderabad. The Cyclothon aimed to promote cycling, environmental consciousness, and a healthy, active lifestyle among citizens. Participants covered a total distance of 16.2 kilometres, starting from Rashtrapati Nilayam, proceeding to Suchitra Circle, and returning to the starting point.

An environmental pledge was taken during the event, emphasizing the importance of protecting the environment and adopting a healthy lifestyle. The Cyclothon was flagged off by Maj Gen Rahul Dev Sharma and Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla for both adult and child cyclists. Speaking on the occasion, which coincided with National Space Day, Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla wished the participants and congratulated them for choosing to take part in the Cyclothon for a good cause. He appreciated the efforts of the President’s office in organizing citizen engagement activities. He stressed that protecting and preserving Earth’s resources is the need of the hour.
