Health Innovation Exchange (HIEx) has launched WIN INDIA – Women in Innovation India, a platform aimed at supporting and empowering women entrepreneurs and innovators working across healthcare, AYUSH, climate resilience, clean technology and AI-enabled wellness. The launch event was held at ITC Kohenur, Hitech City and brought together healthcare leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, policymakers and media personalities to discuss opportunities for women-led innovation and entrepreneurship.
Pradeep Kakkattil, CEO, Health Innovation Exchange (HIEx), said that HIEx is a non-profit platform established within the UN in Geneva in 2018 to address challenges in access to healthcare through technology and innovation. He mentioned that HIEx has been working across several countries in Africa and Asia and that WIN INDIA draws on the organization’s global Women in Innovation Fund, which focuses on accelerating women entrepreneurs.
Dr. Padmini Murthy Nee Mokshagundam, WIN INDIA Core Committee organizer said WIN INDIA aims to create a global platform for women entrepreneurs where they can receive support and, in turn, create opportunities for other women. Rashmee Sharma, WIN INDIA Core Committee organizer, said the initiative seeks to bring together the right people, ideas and opportunities to create meaningful outcomes. The launch marked the beginning of a nationwide initiative to identify promising women-led innovations and connect them with global markets, investors, mentors and strategic partners.
