In a proactive move to combat mobile phone thefts and assist citizens, PS Falaknuma conducted a special detection drive, resulting in the recovery of 20 lost and stolen mobile phones valued at around Rs 3.5 lakhs.

The police team employed advanced technical methods, including IMEI tracking, the CEIR portal, and coordinated field inquiries, to trace and recover the devices from various locations across the city. Each recovered phone underwent thorough verification before being returned to its rightful owner, ensuring transparency and accountability in the process.

The initiative demonstrates the Hyderabad Police’s growing reliance on technology to enhance crime detection and strengthen public service. Citizens are urged to immediately report any lost or stolen mobile phones at the nearest police station or via the designated online portals to enable swift action.

The Station House Officer of PS Falaknuma, A Seethaiah, commended the efforts of the officers involved in the drive, including DI Jakeer Hussain, DSI B. Mahesh, HC 4189 B. Satish Kumar, and PCs Ch. Dasharath, D. Nikhil, and M. Rahul. He also called upon the public to continue their cooperation with the police to maintain law and order in the area.

This drive highlights the effectiveness of combining traditional policing with modern technology to safeguard citizens’ property and reinforce public trust in law enforcement.
