Minister for Panchayat Raj Seethakka has announced the sanction of five new observation homes in Telangana. During her visit to the observation home in Saidabad, Hyderabad, on Thursday, she engaged with the inmates and asked about the facilities and services provided by the government.

In her remarks, the Minister stated that the state government is diligently supplying all necessary support for the children in the observation homes and has allocated an additional Rs. 25 crore for another facility.

She encouraged the children to view the observation home not as a form of punishment, but as a place for personal growth and transformation. Seethakka emphasied that the goal is for them to emerge as changed individuals.

"You may have made mistakes, whether intentionally or unintentionally, but it’s essential to move past the past and strive to become responsible citizens," she advised.

Subsequently, the Minister officially opened a library for the children of the Observation Home. This library was created by Akarshana, a ninth-grade student at Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet. During the event, the Minister recognised Akarshana's efforts by presenting her with a shawl for her initiative in establishing the library to promote learning.

Seethakka encouraged the children to make use of the newly created library, which offers a collection of 700 books. She emphasied, "Do not feel disheartened by your situation in the observation home. Immerse yourselves in books and strive to be responsible members of society."
