Government to provide health care to all: Babu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said that his government was working towards providing complete health protection to everybody in the state. Addressing a press conference at Gannelli village here, Naidu noted that people living in hilly regions should not travel long distances for healthcare, adding that Sanjeevani, a health record digitisation programme, is a step in this direction.

"We are transforming the system in the state to ensure that everybody gets complete health protection," he said.

According to the CM, Sanjeevani programme will be a gamechanger in the state as well as the country. He noted that the government has initiated steps to ship blood samples via drones from tribal areas to larger hospitals. To extend good healthcare services in tribal regions, the CM observed that the government is coming up with a Rs 250-crore 'Tribal Health Infrastructure Completion Mission'. He said the government laid roads stretching up to 900 km in tribal areas spending Rs 1,000 crore.

Likewise, he said tap water was provided to 1.6 lakh households and promised to install rooftop solar power units.

To enhance incomes in tribal areas, the CM said the government encouraged the cultivation of Araku Coffee in another one lakh acres. According to the TDP supremo, the inflow of tourists to Araku region has increased, and observed that extending homestay services will generate income for tribal households.

Naidu promised to skill up tribal youth to bag jobs in the industries arriving in Alluri Sitaramaraju district. The CM also assured to train one lakh youth in the next three years. Naidu appreciated tribal people for being ahead in population management, underscoring that children are an asset.

Further, the CM promised to bring Godavari River water through Polavaram Left Canal to Anakaon on September 2. Lashing out at the previous YSRCP government, he said it "destroyed" the state and its systems.

He alleged that thousands of people lost their lives during the previous government due to spurious liquor, and accused it of discrepancies in 2018 Group- I examination.

‘Telugu should be alive for generations’

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said that the Telugu language should be alive for generations and its glory should thrive. In this digital era, the chief minister said our children should learn to read Telugu and write its alphabets.

"Telugu should be alive for generations, not only in speech but also in writing. Telugu glory should thrive," Naidu said in a post on 'X', commemorating Telugu language day. Further, Naidu appreciated the release of a Telugu language app which teaches reading and writing. According to the CM, the app employs Artificial Intelligence to teach children to write after examining their handwriting. Moreover, Naidu said technology should not be separated from the Telugu language, calling for both to be aligned.
