Mauritius Minister meets Sridhar Babu

Discusses investment opportunities

Mauritius Minister for Public Service and Administrative Reforms Luchmanen Pethia met Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu at the Secretariat here on Saturday. The two Ministers discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between Telangana and Mauritius in areas including public administration, tourism, IT and IT-enabled services (ITeS), emerging technologies, skill development and education.

Pethia said Mauritius regarded Telangana as a trusted partner and expressed interest in collaboration in capacity building and modern administrative practices. He sought Telangana’s support in enhancing the capabilities of Mauritius government employees through training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

The Mauritius Minister also expressed his government’s interest in working with the MCRHRD, Young India Skills University and other educational and skill-development institutions in Telangana.

Sridhar Babu said Telangana was ready to extend its cooperation to Mauritius across sectors. He said the State government attached importance to international partnerships and knowledge exchange, particularly in areas where Telangana has developed expertise.

He also invited Pethia to participate in the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2026, to be organised by the State government on December 7 and 8.

Secretary for Public Service Devendra Gopal, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Public Service and Innovation (AIPSI) Board Chairperson Dr. Nicholas Ragodoo, AIPSI Registrar Dr. Ramesh Durbary, MEA Branch Secretariat Head Madhav R. Sulfule, Industries department special secretary Krishna Aditya and IT&E&C Joint Secretary Anudeep Durishetty, among others, attended the meeting.
