Hanuman Ansh tax free in Maha?

AICWA requests Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to grant the film exemption

Vishal Chaturvedi’s directorial Hanuman Ansh is currently having a dream run at the box office. Made on a budget of merely `2 crore, the Shobhinaw Satyaa starrer has crossed the `100 crore mark at the box office. Recently, the Uttarakhand government declared Hanuman Ansh tax-free in the state.

And now, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has asked Maharashtra’s CM Devendra Fadnavis, to grant tax-free status to the film in the state. The president of the federation, Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, sent an official letter to Fadnavis regarding the request.

In the letter, he wrote, “Hanuman Ansh is a meaningful spiritual film that conveys the values of devotion, faith, compassion, humanity and selfless service. The film carries a positive and inspirational message for society and is suitable for families and audiences of all age groups.” The state government had previously made films like Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior (2020), Super 30 (2019), Mission Mangal (2019) tax free.
