Hi-tech City Rly Station redeveloped as Amrit Station with Rs. 26 crs

The Hi-tech City Railway Station is the nearest railhead to reach the Cyber city and with expansion of IT Corridor and several construction activities taking place on a large scale, the number of commuters using the station is on an increasing trend. Considering this, the station has been redeveloped as Amrit Station.   

This station falls in Lingampalli– Secunderabad suburban route and around 62 trains ply from this station to Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Umdanagar, Falaknuma, Medchal and Ghatkesar.  The footfall of the station is around 3000 passengers per day. Facilities being developed under Amrit Station  include entrance portico, circulating area improvements, provision of 12-M Foot Over Bridge in addition to the existing 2mts Foot Over Bridge. 

At present 2 lifts are available with provision of 2 additional passenger lifts and 2 escalators. The platform improvements & additional cover over platform, toilet blocks, waiting hall, landscaping, façade lighting, passenger friendly signage, new station building with improved façade. In addition, under Amrit Station, additional drainage facilities , water supply and  divyangjan facilities would be provided. At present, there is no waiting area. a new waiting area would be constructed. Apart from entrance ambience enhanced by constructing a new portico.
