BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao, along with party leadership from erstwhile Karimnagar and parts of Nizamabad districts, visited the residence of former minister and senior Congress leader T. Jeevan Reddy in Jagtial on Thursday to formally invite him into the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). The delegation included MLAs, former ministers, and key district leaders.

Addressing the media alongside Jeevan Reddy, KTR stated that the invitation was extended at the direction of BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao. He recalled that KCR had earlier invited Jeevan Reddy even before the 2014 elections, but the latter continued in the Congress due to his commitment to the party.

Highlighting their long-standing association, KTR noted that the relationship between KCR and Jeevan Reddy spans decades and transcends political lines. He cited instances of mutual respect, including development initiatives in Karimnagar district that were sanctioned following Jeevan Reddy’s representations, and his persistent efforts on farmer issues and the revival of the sugar factory.

KTR emphasized that Jeevan Reddy’s entry would significantly strengthen the party, adding that local leadership in Jagtial has strongly supported his induction. He assured that Jeevan Reddy would be given a suitable position in the party.

Launching a sharp attack on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and the Congress government, KTR accused it of failing farmers and the poor. He alleged that key schemes like Rythu Bandhu were neglected and criticized the government for unfulfilled promises, rising farmer distress, and growing dissatisfaction within Congress ranks.

Jeevan Reddy, responding positively, expressed gratitude for the invitation and stated that he would soon meet KCR and announce his decision within a few days. He also conveyed his willingness to work under KCR’s leadership.
